Louloudi – The bougainvilleas of Santorini

Louloudi means "flower" in Greek. I was there, in the white alleys of Santorini. Bougainvillea climbed the white walls. Their flowers burst into red, pink, and orange, contrasting sharply with the deep blue of the sky and sea.
Louloudi is the flower of the sun, the one found on every island bathed in light.
A pattern that smells of summer, heat and salt.
A tribute to this dazzling beauty, born where the sun beats down.
